Travis Earl Davis
Funeral services for Travis Earl Davis, 69, were held at 11 a.m., August 30 at Beck Funeral Home in Louisville. Elder James Young officiated. Burial followed in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died at his home on August 24.
Survivors include two daughters, Shaneka Goss and Kanesha Trammell; one sister, Georgia Shell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Gerald L. Turner
Funeral services for Gerald L. Turner, 58, were held at 11 a.m., September 4 at Mt. Nebro cemetery in Weir. Rev. Lyndon Geeter officiated.
Mr. Turner died August 28 in Winston County.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Ward; three sisters, Vanessa Gwen, Sonja and Frances; one son, Javun’te Turner; 4 brothers, Marcus, Kenneth, David, and Otis; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Minnie Mae Miller
Funeral Services for Minnie Mae Miller, 84, were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 4 at Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville. Rev. Cornelius Miller officiated.
Mrs. Miller died Friday, August 28.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Miller; one son, James Miller; 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Adrian, Jamarus, and Demarcus Miller; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

James Carson Ward
James Carson Ward died at home Saturday, August 28, 2021. James was born in Louisville, Mississippi, on January 29, 1936, to Otha and Hilda Ward. James, the oldest of ten children, was a graduate of Louisville High School, and he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. In 1958, he married Carolyn Holdiness, also of Louisville, Mississippi.
James is survived by his wife, Carolyn, son David, one granddaughter and one grandson; sisters Gloria Joiner, Martha Nabors, Mary Sanders, Nancy Quinn, and Tina Ward; his brother Richard Ward, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon at Chapel Hill Independent Methodist Church located at 134 CR 944, Glen, MS 38846.

Services for Polly Waits Garrison, 85, of Ashland were Sept. 2, 2021, at Ashland Baptist Church.
She was born April 21, 1936, in the Mt. Vernon community in Webster County to the late Ferney Wood and Alma Peeples Waits of Eupora. Mrs. Garrison was a member of Ashland Baptist Church. She died Aug. 27, 2021.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Garrison Eckburg of Olive Branch, Sondra Garrison Crenshaw of Winona, Lydia Garrison Laster of Madison and Ramona Garrison Frye of The Woodlands, Texas; a brother, Wood Doris Waits of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Nancy Doolittle of Cadaretta; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Christina Hazlett McDaniel

Services for Christina Hazlett McDaniel, 53, were Sept. 7, 2021, at Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Mathiston.
She was born June 28, 1968, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Betty and the late Thomas Hazlett, and later lived in Kosciusko. Mrs. McDaniel spent her professional career working at various high schools, as well as Mississippi State and Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She died after a yearlong battle of stage IV carcinosarcoma on Sept. 2, 2021, at her home in Chillicothe, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher McDaniel of Chillicothe; daughters Morgan and Megan McDaniel of Chillicothe; her mother Betty Hazlett of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; and brothers Josh and Dustin Hazlett of Kosciusko and Clinton.
