In their regularly scheduled meeting, on Tuesday, April 21, the Louisville Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to extend its Emergency Declaration.
Mayor Will Hill pointed out that on Friday, April 17, Governor Tate Reeves had extended the statewide ‘Shelter in Place’ order for an additional week, and as the City’s ‘Safer at Home’ order mirrors the statewide order there was action that needed to be taken on ‘Safer at Home.’
In other action, the Board:
• Voted 5-0 to authorize payment to Clearwater Consultants, LLC for $79K upon receipt of MDA Loan funds for 2020 AIP Supplemental Project, on the Airport Project.
• Voted 5-0 to authorize Mayor to sign Change Order #1 with Gregory Companies dba Landco Contracting for $100K for Cell 5 repair on the Landfill Project.
• Voted 5-0 to appoint selection committee for Engineering Services for the CDBG and ARC project for Utility project, Mayor, General Manager for Louisville Utilities, and City Clerk.
• Voted 5-0 to authorize lease purchase of lawn mower, from Western Auto, in the Cemetery Department.
• Voted 5-0 to acknowledge contribution of $50K from Winston Plywood for Recreation and ball fields.
• Voted 5-0 to accept resignation of David Triplett from Public Works Dept. effective April 22.
• Voted 5-0 to accept low bid for TAP Sidewalk project from Simmons Erosion Control in the amount of $235.5K.
