At their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 7, the Ackerman Board of Aldermen continued to limit the number of those present to 10. Mayor Tim Cutts stated that there were about eight people present, with only two aldermen in the room while the others joined the meeting by phone.
The Board had a very limited agenda dealing with a drainage issue behind Fred’s Salon on Hwy. 15, and taking no action on a mobile home issue.
The Board went into executive session to interview two applicants to replace Public Works Director Mike Brasher who will retire at the end of June.
Cutts said the Board did not take any action on a curfew as it seems that most people are taking the COVID-19 threat seriously and opting to remain indoors.
The Ackerman Aldermen meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30, but attendance will be limited to 10 until further notice.
