The Nanih Waiya baseball team got the season going last week and scored plenty of runs in the process.
The Warriors won both games last week, beating Philadelphia 13-7 and Louisville 16-1.
Nanih Waiya was scheduled to travel to Lake on Tuesday and host Noxapater on Friday, weather permitting. They will finish the week at Sebastopol.
Nanih Waiya 13, Philadelphia 7
After giving up seven in the top of the first, the warriors bounced back and took a six-run win over the Tornadoes.
Nanih Waiya answered with nine in the first, three in the second and one in the third.
The Warriors had 13 hits to seven for the Tornadoes. Ked Moore was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs while Austin Windle was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Aiden Hill was 2-for-3 with a double while Joe Wylie Duett scored two runs. Braxton Flake doubled, scored two runs and had three RBIs.
Moore started game and gave up six runs on two hits and four walks while Hill pitched the last four and gave up one run on five this and two walks while striking out nine.
Nanih Waiya 16, Louisville 1
The Warriors broke open a close game with 12 runs in the fourth to take a run-rule win on Saturday.
After Louisville scored one in the top of the first, Nanih Waiya scored two in the first and second and led 4-1 after three innings. But the Warriors then scored 12 in the fourth to put the game away.
Nanih Waiya had 13 hits as Aiden Hill was 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Tanner Courtney was 2-for-2 with two RBIs while Austin Windle was 2-for-2 with a double, two walks and two RBIs. Ked Moore singled, scored twice and had two RBIs while Eli Stanton scored four runs and Braxton Flake scored two.
Courtney pitched a compete game and scattered nine hits and a walk while striking out five.
