Rambling with Mrs. Arlene
Praise the Lord everyone. What a beautiful day to celebrate Easter and join together with family and friends to celebrate and be thankful for what our savior did for us so many years ago. The Bible teaches that Jesus suffered pain on the cross when they beat his back and nailed his hands and feet to the cross. Let me ask you something? Which do you think is worse, the pain from being nailed to the cross or the pain of looking around at the people he created to worship and love him go through life and leave him out? That has got to break his heart!! Do you not think Jesus can be hurt? I think he can. The shortest scripture in the Bible says, “Jesus wept.”
God knows when he creates us in our mother’s wombs exactly how the devil would like to lead us astray. But he allows us the choice to make our own decision, which way we will go. Serving God is not always the easiest road to take because you have to hold yourself up and always be faithful. Some people can’t even be faithful to their marriage, let alone be faithful to Jesus Christ. Some people can’t be faithful employees on a job. The way things are now it takes determination to do what is right.
As a Christian, God has shown me many things. Sometimes things before they happen. He has used me in many areas of worship. Trust me when I tell you, I don’t deserve it. But God has been so good to me. I thank him all of the time. He never leaves my mind and is always with me. Many decisions I would have made, God stopped me in my tracts. It worked out best that he did.
Listen, I am a living witness that there is nothing on Earth that you could be or that you can even do that will compare with living for God. I’m 73 years old and July 9, I’ll be 74. I can’t walk a step but still I drive. I still keep children and one 93-year old man and take care of my husband. I take care of my household and enjoy my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and my heart grandchildren that we have helped raise. God is so good. He supplies every need if you’ll ask and believe.
