During their second meeting of the month, held on Tuesday, February 18, the Louisville Board of Aldermen discussed the SuperFund site which is on Railroad Ave. located at the site of the old creosote mill. The Board voted unanimously to accept transfer of the site from the U.S. government, and authorize Mayor Will Hill to execute acceptance of the property which is now titled to the City of Louisville for redevelopment purposes.
In other action, the Board:
• Voted 5-0 to approve the hiring of three part-time works for Parks and Recreation.
• Voted 5-0 to approve a request from E-911 to promote Anita Coleman to $12.36 /hour effective February 13.
• Voted 5-0 to approve a request from the Street Dept. to promote James Swilley to $12/hour effective February 27.
• Voted 5-0 to accept the resignation of Kylan Harris from Louisville Police Dept.
