The Louisville Board of Aldermen voted to suspend their regular meeting, which was scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, and also dealt with several routine matters during their meeting on Tuesday, December 3.
Concerning capital and recovery projects, Mayor Will Hill reported that most projects are complete.
The Strand Theater is on course for a bid package in January 2020, and the central business district project completion is projected for mid-January.
The Board received an update from the Winston County Library concerning several events scheduled in the near future.
In other action, the Board:
• Voted 4-0 to continue an unclean property hearing for 77 Redd St., owned by Farris Hopkins, until the first meeting of January 2020. Alderman Eugene Crosby was not present.
• Voted 4-0 to authorized payment of Docket of Claims for $126K.
• Voted 4-0 to authorize renewal with BBI for hardware & software programs for $9.89K.
• Voted 4-0 to authorize legal notice for CDBG hearing to be held December 30 for sewer project.
The next scheduled meeting for the Louisville Board of Aldermen is Tuesday, January 7 at 5:30 p.m.
