Nearly 20 defendants were arraigned Dec. 16 in Webster County Circuit Court.
They were indicted on felony charges by the grand jury that was recalled Dec. 9. The defendants entered pleas of not guilty before Circuit Judge George Mitchell Jr. at the Webster County Courthouse. He set bond for each and appointed a public defender if indigent.
Official arraignment orders had not been filed as of Monday in the circuit clerk’s office, however, Circuit Clerk Sherry Henderson identified the indictees, their charges and bonds as follows:
• Sabrina Marie Ray (age unavailable): three counts of felony abuse and/or battery of a child; $20,000 bond.
• David Lloyd Patterson, 62: possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine (two-count indictment), $20,000 bond; and possession of cocaine, $20,000 bond.
• Co-indictees John Jason Lee, 50, and Jonathon Wells, 37: possession of methamphetamine; $15,000 bond for Lee and $5,000 bond for Wells.
• Lee, 50: motor vehicle taking; $15,000 bond.
• Earnest Willhite, 38: motor vehicle theft; $7,500 bond.
• Christy Ann Blount, 31: motor vehicle taking and escape; $5,000 bond.
• Co-indictees Brenda Carol Ford (age unavailable) and William Ford, 19: burglary of a dwelling house; $5,000 bond each.
• Co-indictees Timothy Ryan Green, 27, and Lenora Aileen Loggins, 34: burglary of a dwelling house; $10,000 bond for Green and $5,000 bond for Loggins.
• Green: possession of methamphetamine (10 grams or more but less than 30 grams); $5,000 bond.
• David Vaughn Fair, 43: possession of methamphetamine; $5,000 bond.
• Scott Daniel Hoover, 31: possession of methamphetamine (.10 grams or more but less than 2 grams); $5,000 bond.
• Jesse Dewitt Robinson, 35: possession of methamphetamine (.10 grams or more but less than 2 grams); $5,000 bond.
• Rico Davion Simmons, 22: possession of methamphetamine (.10 grams or more but less than 2 grams); $5,000 bond.
• Jason Drew Barnett, 43: possession of methamphetamine (.10 grams or more but less than 2 grams); bond continued at $2,500.
• David Harlon Knight, 22: possession of firearm by a felon and possession of methamphetamine (two-count indictment); $5,000 bond.
• Henry Lee Graham, 57: possession of firearm by a felon; $5,000 bond.
• Robert Baker, 32: embezzlement under contract; $5,000 bond.
• Joe Howard, 46: sex offender: failure to reregister; $5,000 bond.
“Plea day” is set for Thursday. The next two-week term of court begins Monday, when a new grand jury will be empaneled.
