One of two people who fled on foot after leading officers on a pursuit that ended in a neighboring county is wanted on local charges.
The Grenada County Sheriff’s Office posted this message about the pursuit on social media last Friday:
“Today (Feb. 2) around 1:30 p.m. a pursuit entered Grenada County from Duck Hill. It ended off of Old Academy Road in Gore Springs in a wooded area, where the car was abandoned and the suspects fled on foot.
“The male suspect, Daniel Jones, is wanted in several counties on felony charges not related to today’s pursuit. There is possibly a female with him, named Madison Hendricks.
“If you see either of these, consider them armed and dangerous, and contact us at 226-2721 or 911.”
The sheriff’s office posted pictures of the two suspects.
Jones, 29, is wanted on charges in Webster and Oktibbeha counties, according to Webster County Sheriff David Gore.
The Webster County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jones in September 2018 on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of stolen property. The docket entry showed he had a “hold” for Grenada, Carroll and Choctaw counties at that time.
He was arrested in January 2019 on a Choctaw County Circuit Court capias and indictment. The last entry on the Webster County Jail docket for Jones was in January 2021 for Drug Court.
