Two teens have been charged in connection with a shooting at a home located on Blaine Road, on March 20, 2024.
Sheriff Mike Perkins said Ladarious Malik Griffin, 16, and Shy Pittman, 18, have been charged with three counts of aggravated assault.
He stated that the victims were sitting in the driveway inside of a vehicle at the home listening to music at 2:30 a.m. Perkins said it’s believed that Griffin and Pittman parked their vehicle down the road and walked to the home.
He said they allegedly snuck up and began firing multiple rounds into the car. Perkins stated that the unidentified person that was seated in the driver’s seat was the only person grazed. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Perkins stated it’s believed that the shooting was in retaliation of the murder of a juvenile in September 2023.
Griffin and Pittman both went before Judge Robert Beck for an initial appearance and were given a bond of $150,000 each.
He said Griffin and Pittman are both out on bond and their preliminaries have been set for April 3.
