The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,139 COVID-19 cases to date in Webster County as of Sunday afternoon.
That total represents five new cases over the past two weeks. The number of local coronavirus-related deaths stands at 32. Long-term care facility numbers to date also remain the same: 61 cases among residents and 12 deaths.
MSDH reports that 1,359 more Webster Countians were vaccinated for COVID-19 over the last two weeks for a total of 2,873 vaccinations administered here as of Monday morning (includes people receiving at least one dose).
Vaccinations are available from MSDH drive-through sites at no charge, and from local hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. Vaccine providers in Webster County are Eupora Family Medical Clinic (662-377-5477) and Walgreens (Murphy Drug) in Eupora (258-2631, www.walgreens.com/schedulevaccine).
All Mississippians aged 16 or older are now eligible for vaccination. Vaccination appointments may be made at one of the MSDH drive-through vaccination sites by going online to covidvaccine.umc.edu.
