Tomonlen Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce it has received a grant from the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund. These funds will be used to purchase turnout gear.
The fire department has outdated turnout gear that does not meet National Fire Protection Association standards. The grant will provide its firefighters with up-to-date safety gear that is an integral part of firefighting and operational safety.
The Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund supports U.S. and Canadian communities where they have significant presence or business interest.
Weyerhaeuser employees serve on local advisory committees for their Giving Fund and develop funding priorities to support their local communities in areas of affordable housing, education, youth development, environment stewardship, human services, civic and cultural growth, workforce development and diversity, equity and inclusion.
These focal areas provide a strong companywide framework for giving while allowing flexibility to meet specific needs in its different communities.
