This week marks the halfway point in the Camp CCLS summer reading program! Monday June 19 featured Silver Social for adults at 9:30am and Lego League for kids at 10 a.m in the Ackerman Library. Weir Library hosted Lego League Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.
On Tuesday June 20 at 2pm, Jackie Henne Kerr of the Mississippi Natural Science Museum was at the Ackerman Library to talk about turtles, alligators, and snakes (oh my!). On 10:30am Wednesday June 21, James and Helen Hill hosted a second program of "Our Star, the Sun" at the Ackerman Library, which allows participants to view the sun safely with a specially equipped telescope.
Thursday June 22 featured Stormin' Bob Swanson in the Ackerman Library at 2 p.m. with an interactive science program titled "Song Cycles".
This week will wrap up on Friday June 23 with a Come and Go Craft Day at the Ackerman Library from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Come in anytime to make friendship bracelets, paracord bracelets, and bird feeders.
