Four people were arrested last week after law enforcement agencies seized a large amount of drugs at a county residence, including one charged with trafficking.
The arrests were made after a search warrant was served around 4 p.m. Thursday at 58 Shine Jewel Road just outside of Mathiston, according to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department and charging affidavits.
The sheriff’s office stated the search warrant led to the arrests of four people at the residence by the WCSD. Approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine/ice and around 300 grams of marijuana were seized.
Three of the people were arrested on felony charges:
• James “Marty” Flowers, 58: trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
• James Cuneo, 55: possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)-two counts.
• Launa Moore, 52: possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)-two counts and tampering with physical evidence.
The other, a 48-year-old man, was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and has been released on bond. He was to appear in Justice Court today.
The three charged with felonies were being held in the Webster County Jail as of Monday after having bond hearings. Justice Court Judge Rebecca Ellison set secured bonds of $250,000 for Flowers, $30,000 for Cuneo and $20,000 for Moore. All are scheduled to appear in court on March 4.

MPD Arrests
Thursday’s joint operation also led to the arrests of four additional people by Mathiston PD at other locations, according to Police Chief Blake Love.
He said those four arrests involved two DUIs, one warrant arrest and one misdemeanor arrest. MPD also issued 22 citations.
