Mayor Blake McMullan presented three resolutions during the June meetings of the Eupora Board of Aldermen. The resolutions from the mayor and board recognized and congratulated the recipients for their accomplishments.
Two were presented on June 5, one of which recognized and congratulated Eupora High School students Ava McCain and Kaitlyn Edwards for their accomplishments in winning the 2023 MHSAA Girls Doubles Class I state tennis championship.
Another was presented to Patsy Herard of Eupora on her accomplishments at the 2023 Open All-Girl Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championship in Orlando, Fla.
The Pearl River Community College cheer team, of which Herard is a member, won the National Championship in January.
The third was presented June 19 to Sarah Grace Ware congratulating her accomplishments and titles received at the 2023 Our Little Miss Preteen Pageant.
She won the Preteen Living Doll and High Point. Sarah Grace will compete for the world title on July 7 in Houston, Texas.
