Mayor Blake McMullan called a special meeting for the city of Eupora Board of Aldermen the evening of March 17.
The main agenda items presented were the Whites Creek Lake Campground Business Plan, Eupora Civic Event Center Plan and Spud Stennett Conceptional Park and Recreation Design.
The Economic Development Committee briefed the board on the Whites Creek Lake Campground, Civic Event Center Business Plan and Spud Stennett Conceptional Park and Recreation Design. The committee sought input from the board on the plans.
Among improvements suggested were to move campground reservations to an online service completely, improve infrastructure at campground, install August Smart Locks on Civic Event Center, and update fees, policies and marketing strategy at both facilities.
The Spud Stennett Conceptional Park and Recreation Design was unveiled to the board. Realizing this is a conceptional design and will need community input, the design consisted of a water spray ground, pavilions, all-inclusive playground, skateboard park, food truck court, volleyball and pickleball courts, amphitheater and walking trails.
Stay tuned for information about upcoming meetings for community input to the Spud Stennett design.
