Friends of Webster Library will meet Monday, Oct. 9, at 1:30 p.m. with Marica Bernstein of Walthall as the speaker.
Marica and her husband, John Bickle, live with their two dogs, one cat, one donkey and one not-very-bright sheep on a farm outside Walthall.
Her first book, “Miss Missy’s School: A Pack of Farm Dogs Starts a School,” for children and their grownups, is a family story, written for kids and their families to read together. It is for kids who long for a story of a different sort.
In this tale, there are no dragons for heroes to slay or worlds for wizards to save. It’s simply the story of how Missy and her pack welcome a nameless, homeless dog and her son into the pack.
Public is invited to attend.
