Good morning everyone. First I’d like to announce we will be having a communitywide singing at 5p.m. March 29. Everyone is invited to come and sing. Bring a song, your instrument, CD or tape. Come and join us in worship for Fifth Sunday Night Sing.
I sure was thankful for a few days of sun and wind. It was beautiful. Thankful that I didn’t have to work out in the rain for a few days. Please help me continue to pray for the rain to cease for a little while for all those who are effected by the rain and weather. Also help us continue to pray for those who have been devastated by tornadoes and those who have lost family members or loved ones this past week due to severe weather.
We had a great Sunday School class this Sunday along with a wonderful and powerful choir service led by Sis. Leneze Avent. What a blessing to have her back leading our choir.
Sunday’s message was powerful from the Lord. God not only delivered the children of Israel out of bondage but he kept the enemy at bay on their behalf with a pillar of fire and cloud that protected them from their enemies. Most Bible scholars believe between 1.5-2.5 million people, including women and children, crossed the Red Sea with a wall of water on the right hand and a wall of water on the left hand.
The children of Israel crossed the sea on dry ground. When reaching the other side God looked down through the cloud and fire, troubled the host of the Egyptians, took off their chariot wheels and drave them heavily so the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel for the Lord fighteth for them.”
Then the Lord told Moses to stretch his rod over the sea so that the water covered the Egyptians, their chariots and horsemen. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the sea in so much that not even one of them remained.
My brethren, God hears our cry and delivers us in our desperate time of need. Whether in the storms of life, trials or temptations, he is our present help in times of trouble.
Don’t forget to spread the word and invite all your family and friends out for the communitywide singing at Fame Church Sunday, March 29, at 5 p.m. God bless you all, and we pray you have a great week.
