Power amid the storm
4-County Electric Co-Operative had few power outages Sunday and Monday and worked to get all customers back up in a short period of time.
4-County Electric Co-Operative asked any customers to report any power outages by calling 1-800-431-1544 or by using their mobile app.
Members are urged to be patient while waiting for their service to be restored since hazardous road conditions could affect response time.
To save electricity and power usage during the winter storm:
Set thermostats to 68 degrees
Suspend use of electrical appliances (dishwashers, washing machines, clothes dryers, vacuum cleaners, etc.)
Put off tasks at work, if possible, that would demand electricity (power tools, maintenance equipment, etc.)
Turn off televisions and electronic equipment unless they are necessary to conduct business or to ensure your health and safety
Turn off unnecessary lighting, leaving on only enough to move about safely indoors.
