Delvan Irwin spent two years compiling the history of the Louisville High School Wildcat football team, a 100-year-history of the winning ways of the Wildcats. He referred to this endeavor as a “labor of love.”
The book memorializes early teams, their accomplishments, but also covers the historical journey of the last thirteen years of the back-to-back-to-back championship teams.
Irwin recaps every game from 1913 – 2023. He took time to compile information regarding coaches, cheerleaders, even homecoming queens! “I’m sure hoping this brings back fond memories for so very many who devoted their time to make this football program one of the best in the history of Mississippi.”
Irwin will be at Southern Traditions, 16580 West Main Street in Louisville, on Saturday, December 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Books are $25 per copy, and he is excited to see everyone come out. He is aware of the playoff game on Saturday, so he plans to leave books at Southern Traditions for local purchase. The book may also be found on Amazon beginning December 15.
Irwin added this book will be both a fantastic and unique Christmas gift for the Wildcat football fan in your life.
