Mr. and Mrs. Brian Parkman of Lake, MS announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter EmilySue Rebekah Parkman to James Hayes Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wood of French Camp.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Linda Boles of Lake, MS, Mr. Dewey and Angela Boles of Ridgeland, MS. and Mrs. Peggy Parkman and the late Louie Parkman Sr. of Lake, MS.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Rev. and Mrs. Roy Hawkins of French Camp, MS. and Mr. and Mrs. Walker Wood of Ackerman.
Miss Parkman is a 2017 graduate of Lake High School. She will graduate from Mississippi State University in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed with the Scott County School District in Morton, MS.
Mr. Wood is a 2017 graduate of Ethel High School, Ethel, MS. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary History. He is currently employed with Webster County School District Eupora, MS.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 6 o’clock in the evening at Tanglewood, Lawrence, Mississippi with the reception to follow
