WHEREAS, JERRY TANKERSLEY A/K/A JERRY DEANE TANKERSLEY, executed a Deed of Trust to W. DEAN BELK, Trustee for the use and benefit of Planters Bank and Trust Company, Ruleville Branch, dated February 7, 2019, of record in Deed of Trust Book 2019, Page 63 of the Land Records on file in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Webster County, Mississippi; and

P. Sugg, Sr. property, thence Northwest perpendicular to said alley to the South side of Adams Avenue, thence Southwest along the South side of said Adams Avenue to the Point of Beginning.

SUBSTITUTE TRUSTEE’S NOTICE OF SALE
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2006, Sonja C. Myers and Aubrey Myers, wife and husband executed a deed of trust for the benefit of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as beneficiary, as nominee for Cadence Bank N.A., which deed of trust was recorded on April 7, 2006, in Book 224, Page 41 in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Webster County, Mississippi; and Said Deed of Trust was last sold, assigned and transferred to Nationstar Mortgage LLC d/b/a Mr. Cooper by assignment recorded in Book 262, Page 31 in the office of the Chancery Clerk, Webster County, Mississippi.
WHEREAS, the holder of the deed of trust at the time of the substitution substituted McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLC as Trustee, as authorized by the terms thereof, by instrument recorded and spread at large upon the records in the office of the aforesaid Chancery Clerk in Book 2020, Page 163, prior to the posting and publication of this notice; and

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
The Town of Mathiston requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering/architectural services for work related to the implementation of an approved publicly-funded project related to industrial building improvements. You are invited to submit a proposal, in accordance with this request, to the Office of the Town Clerk 41 Mathis Drive, Mathiston, Mississippi 39752 or Post Office Box 178, Mathiston, MS 39752 no later than 3:00 p.m. on August 2, 2021.
The Engineer/Architect will be responsible for preparing project cost estimates for application(s) preparation and if awarded, the selected Engineer/Architect will provide all engineering/architectural services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1.) prepare plans and specifications; 2.) distribute bid documents; 3.) assist in bid opening and prepare bid tabulation; 4.) assist in the execution of construction contracts; 5.) hold pre-construction conference; and 6.) perform construction inspection including periodic reports to the Town and approve all payment requests.
The Town of Mathiston is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Town encourages Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit proposals. The Town also encourages Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended (12 U.S.C. 17010) requires, to the greatest extent feasible, that the Town and its contractors that participate in the above referenced Program, give opportunities for job training and employment to lower income residents of the Town of Mathiston. Section 3 also requires that contracts for work in connection with the Section 3 area be awarded to Section 3 eligible business concerns.
All proposals (three copies), must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the following language; “Proposal for “Engineering/Architectural Services,” Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: Qualifications (40 points), Experience (40 points) and Capacity for Performance (20 points). To be evaluated properly, the following must be addressed in detail:
Qualifications - List of qualifications of persons to be assigned to project;
Experience – Information regarding the firm’s experience and the projects previously undertaken, including the type and amount of grants awarded, the projects activities, and the status of the projects;
Capacity for Performance – Identify the number and title of staff assigned to provide services.
The Town will designate a selection committee to evaluate each proposal. The selection committee may hold proposals for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days for the purpose of reviewing the content of the proposals and investigating the qualifications of the firms and assigned individuals. The Town reserves the right to reject and/or all proposals. All questions should be directed to Phylis Benson, Golden Triangle PDD at (662) 320-2007.
Subject to federal funding award and the removal of all environmental conditions, the Town will award a contract with the qualified individual or firm whose proposal has the highest number of cumulative points issued by the selection committee and determined to be the most advantageous to the Town. The contract will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements. An individual contract will be executed for each awarded project, and the contract will be on a fixed price basis. The Town has the authority to terminate the selection at any time.
