These items were approved as a part of the Consent Agenda following approval of the agenda on May 14, according to the minutes: • the minutes of the regular meeting held April 29. • appointment of board attorney for 2024-25 – Jim Keith. • CTE Assurances for FY25. • the Professional Development Report for 2023-24. • the Professional Development Plan for 2024-25. • the resignations of Laken Newton, East Webster High School assistant teacher, and Ashley Staten, Eupora High School assistant teacher, effective May 23. • a certified staff recommendation for 2024- 25. • the hiring of Lori Cook, Maisie Jones, Kim Harrison and Amanda Vowell as interventionists at Eupora Elementary School, East Webster Elementary School and EHS, effective July 1. • the hiring of Katelyn Patterson as a teacher at EHS and Tonya Kirby as a teacher at EES, effective July 1, pending background check. • the transfer of Katie Brown from assistant teacher to bookkeeper at EWES, effective July 1. • Katie Brown working nine additional days in June. • the transfer of Audra Misso from Business Office MSIS clerk to assistant teacher at EES, effective July 29. • Amy Sorrell as long-term substitute teacher effective Aug. 1. • a student as summer worker effective June 1-July 26. • additional bus drivers for the 2024-25 school year. • a bus driver’s salary amendment for the 2024-25 school year. • a student release request for the 2024-25 school year. • these donations from EWHS Athletics Boosters: $135.50 to EWHS Athletics, $1,000 to EWHS CrossCountry and $1,900 to EWHS Football. • a fundraiser for EHS Girls Basketball • asset disposals. These items were approved in separate motions: • a recommendation from Lauren Smith, principal of Eupora Elementary School, recommending Lacy Foster be hired as a teacher, pending her graduation and receipt of licensure, effective July 1. • a recommendation to amend a teacher’s contract from 187 days to 190 days, • financial reports and docket of claims. Board members Rana Mitchell (presiding as vice president), Jimmy Hood, Daniel Bingham and Gabby Davis were present May 14. The board adjourned until June 10 and the next meeting will follow a budget hearing set for 5 p.m. July 17.
