Hippity hoppity Easter is less than a month away and there are two area events happening that are sure to bring to joy to the youngest residents and the nostalgic joy back to the oldest.
On Saturday, April 12, the Town of French Camp will have their annual Easter in French Camp.
The event will kick off at 9 a.m. with registration for their easter egg hunt. Registration will take place in front of French Camp Baptist Church and every child will receive a candy bag.
At 10 a.m., children and families will meet in front of French Camp Baptist for the Easter story and for an Easter Egg Hunt. At 11 a.m., there will be a Easter Egg Hunt for teens and adults. There will be a $10 entry fee and all of the money collected will go into prizes. From 10:15 a.m. until noon, the French Camp cheerleaders will be doing face painting at Barlow Blue.
There will be also be free pictures with the Easter Bunny at Barlow Blue, 50 percent off at Double Blessings, 20 percent off Easter Drinks at The Sip, $1 off the Easter Menu at French Camp Nutrition, Hi Links Permanent Jewelry will be at Sparkles of H & M, 50 percent off Build a Bestie at Barlow Blue, and at the Trading Post there will be Saxon’s on the Go Food Truck, a bounce house, horse rides, hair tinsel, and Maebri Designs will be doing a custom hat popup.
Also that Saturday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., the Ackerman Police Department will have Funny Bunny Fun Day at Dale Davidson Football Field. There will also be an Easter Egg hunt, games, food, face painting and special prizes. This event is free to the public.
