It was another rough week for the Noxapater basketball teams as both squads were swept last week, falling to Choctaw County and Sebastopol.
The Lady Tigers fell 56-35 to Choctaw County and 55-43 to Sebastopol while the Tigers fell 65-33 to the Chargers and 45-38 to the Bobcats.
Noxapater was scheduled to play at French Camp on Monday and then host Clarkdale on Friday. They will then be off until after the Christmas break when they host McAdams on Friday, Jan. 3.
Choctaw County girls 56, Noxapater 35
The Lady Chargers used a big first half to take an early lead and cruised to a 21-point lead on Tuesday.
Choctaw led 11-4 at the end of the first period and then outscored Noxapater 25-7 in the second to lead 36-11 at the half. Each team scored 12 points in the third while Noxapater took the fourth 12-6 for the final margin.
Audrea Triplett led Noxapater with nine points while Jodie Wilkes had eight points. Nadia Bates had eight points while R’Dayshia Riddle had seven points.
Choctaw County boys 65, Noxapater 33
The Chargers outscored the Tigers in every period and cruised to a 32-point win on Tuesday.
The first half was tight as Choctaw led 13-11 at the end of the first and 31-24 at the half. But the Chargers pulled away in the second half and outscored Noxapater 22-5 in the third and 12-4 in the fourth.
Renardo Hathorn led Noxapter with 13 points while A.J. Robertson had nine points.
Sebastopol girls 55, Noxapater 43
The Lady Bobcats overcame an early deficit and took a 12-point win over the Lady Tigers.
Noxapater led 18-8 at the end of the first period while the Lady Bobcats outscored the Lady Tigers 14-10 in the second to cut the lead to 28-22. Sebastopol then outscored Noxapater 16-6 in the third and 17-9 in the fourth to take the win.
Nadia Bates led Noxapater with 18 points while Jodie Wilkes had 13 points.
Sebastopol boys 45, Noxapater 38
The Bobcats overcame a halftime deficit and took a seven-point win over the Tigers.
Noxapater outscored Sebastopol 12-8 in the first and 14-12 in the second to lead 26-20 at the half. Sebastopol then outscored Noxapater 13-8 in the third and 12-4 in the fourth to take the win.
Camerion Pankey and Richardo Hathorn each had 10 points apiece while Samien Vaughn added six points.
