The Louisville Police Department has charged two teens and a 20-year-old from Choctaw County in connection with the May 24 shooting at a graduation party held at the Old Dynasty, located on Fox Street. Louisville Police D e p a r t m e n t Investigator Zae Henderson said Teriyon J. McNeal, 16, and Terrence J. McNeal, 20, both of Weir, and Matthew Shumaker, 16, of Ackerman, were all charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the shooting. Henderson said police were called to the nightclub at 11:49 p.m. Friday, May 24 in response to a shots fired call. He said there were two officers on-site at the club clearing out the party-goers as shots rang out. He stated that a combination of video footage outside of the railroad and officers’ body cam footage led them to the McNeal brothers and Shumaker. “There were shots ranging out from the vehicle the McNeals and Shumaker were in,” Henderson said. He said as of right now, it’s unknown as to who they were shooting at or why. “We’re still gathering information on that,” he said. Henderson said they received a call shortly after that about vehicles in Ivy Park that were allegedly exchanging guns. He said the guns in question were two pistols and an AR-platform rifle. He stated that an 18-year-old girl was shot in the upper leg as a result of being in the line of fire but she was not a target. The 18-year-old was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, where Henderson said she was treated and is now at home and doing okay. The McNeals and Shumaker went before Judge Taylor Tucker who set their bonds at $75,000 each. Teriyon McNeal and Matthew Shumaker are being charged as adults. The McNeals are out on bond, but Henderson said Shumaker remains in custody. They will go before Tucker for a preliminary hearing set for June 11. He said the investigation is still ongoing
