Church donates Thanksgiving meal to WCSD

Red Hill M.B. Church has been donating Thanksgiving meals to the Webster County Sheriff’s
Department for five years, including this past November.
The mission of the church is to provide a meal for the Webster County Jail residents during
a season when kindness and selflessness means the most.

Church conducting food drive for outreach ministry

Now is a great opportunity to donate for Thanksgiving and Christmas to the Fish and Loaves Food Pantry Ministry. Victory Baptist Church of Mathiston created this outreach four years as a way to feed families. Jesus said, ìFeed my sheep (John 21:17).î The first boxes were given out to 18 families the week before Thanksgiving in 2020.

Walthall Trade Day, Block Party upcoming

On the third Saturday in October the village of Walthall will host its annual Walthall Trade Day Festival. The sixth annual Walthall Trade Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. filling the courthouse square with over 60 vendors, a variety of food trucks and fun for children and adults alike.
