It’s for the birds: Controllers enjoy birdwatching presentation

Fabian Jimenez, a student at Mississippi State University, gave a presentation to members of the Controllers 4-H Club on birdwatching.

He explained the uniqueness of birds and explained that there are over 10,000 birds. Handouts were provided, and he also conducted a question\answer session and gave out prizes.

Controllers 4-H Club volunteer completes class

Alexandria Coleman, a volunteer for the Controllers 4-H Club, completed Tools for Workplace Success through I Love Me Ministry.

“I am so thankful for I Love Me Ministry for assisting me with Tools for Workplace Success,” Ms. Coleman said with a smile.

She is now working at the city of Starkville as a clerk.

Stress/ Anxiety Awareness Workshop held

Maben Mayor's Health Council in conjunction with the Controllers 4-H Club hosted a Stress/Anxiety Awareness Workshop on April 17 at Maben City Hall.

Jennifer Stancil, Community Counseling intensive community support specialist, was the guest speaker. She also conducted a question-and-answer session.
