The Nanih Waiya football team grabbed its first win of the season last week.

The Warriors used a strong running attack and stingy defense to take a 27-8 win over Bruce on Friday night.

Nanih Waiya improves to 1-4 on the season and will host Newton this week to open Division 5-2A play.

Noxapater Tigers triumph over rival Nanih Waiya Warriors

For the first time in 10 years, the Noxapater Tigers can claim victory in the Cross Creek rivalry.

The Tigers used a big-play offense and jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 27-6 win over the Warriors on Thursday night.

Nanih Waiya prepares for positive roll in 2022

The 2021 season was one that Nanih Waiya coach James Courtney and his players and staff would like to forget. The Warriors went 2-7 and did not make the playoffs after moving up to Class 2A. On top of the move up in class, the Warriors also suffered one injury after another.
