Panthers working to figure it out as they enter division play

The French Camp football team has coach Nathan Wright scratching his head.

The Panthers jumped out to a 13-0 lead but Central Holmes scored 28 straight points to pull away and take a 56-32 win over Friday Camp on Friday night.

The Panthers fall to 1-4 on the season and will play at Noxapater this week to open district play.

Former Union star wins U.S. Amateur Championship

Union’s Andy Ogletree made history on Sunday as he became the first Mississippian to ever win the U.S. Amateur Championship.

Ogletree, a rising senior at Georgia Tech, overcame an early four-hole deficit to win the 119th Amateur Championship, beating Vanderbilt senior John Augenstein at the famed Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
