Webster School Board discusses school residency issue

A school residency issue was among matters discussed by the Webster County School Board during a previous meeting.

Meeting minutes show board members went into executive session Sept. 11 to discuss a student residency issue. This was regarding a student transfer request, according to the minutes. No action taken in executive session.

Monthly sales tax collections released

Sales tax revenue numbers that reflect August sales are in from the Mississippi Department of Revenue for local municipalities.

MDR collects 81.5% of the 7% sales tax from municipalities and distributes the remaining 18.5% back to the municipalities over a three-month cycle.
