Webster Countyís unemployment rate increased 1.1 percentage points during May, according to preliminary data from the M i s s i s s i p p i Department of Employment Security. The jobless rate here was 2.8% in May, which compares to the record-low 1.7% in April and 2.9% in May 2023. The 12-month moving average is 2.9%.
