Community members and Sheriff’s Office deputies have formed a Special Response Team for Webster County.
Members of the SRT are trained to respond to active shooters and to provide medical assistance to wounded civilians. Sheriff David Gore said the team, which voluntarily trains twice a month, is still a work in progress.
