Chargers gridiron season comes to a close

Ackerman aldermen accept appropriations for sidewalk project

The Ackerman Board of Aldermen held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 2, in which they voted unanimously to accept appropriations from the State, in the amount of $200K which will be used for sidewalk improvements along Main Street; the Board also voted to advertise for bids on the project.

Supervisors meeting deals with payments for county expenses

During their regularly scheduled meeting, on Monday, November 1, the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the following measures:

•Payment of retainage on the Choctaw Regional Medical Center driveway repair project, at a cost of $4K, to Ausburn Construction, and $1.4K to Crowder Engineering for engineering fees.

Chargers secure huge first round playoff win

This past Friday night marked the beginning of the North State Playoffs, as Palmer High School traveled from Quitman County to Dale Davidson field to take on the home- standing Chargers, in what proved to be a blowout win for Choctaw County, with a final score of 41-20.
