Webster County’s unemployment rate for March remained unchanged at 5.6%, according to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. The county’s jobless rate was also 5.6% in February and 5% in March 2019. MDES statistics from 1990 forward show the county’s highest unemployment rate for March came in 1991, when it reached 15.8%.
