Eupora XC starts season with strong performances

The Eupora High School cross-country team is starting off the 2023 running season with strong performances at the Eagle Claw Invitational and the TCPS Twilight.

On Aug. 26, Eupora XC hosted the fifth annual Eagle Claw Invitational with 24 teams and over 400 runners participating.

Fifth annual Eagle Claw Invitational Saturday

The fifth annual Eagle Claw Invitational will be Aug. 26 at Gary Park in Eupora.

At least 21 teams have entered to compete. Concessions will be provided by Diane Tomlinson. If you would like to help during the races, contact cross-country Coach Randee Jernigan.

ECCC Pins 20 Practical Nursing Students

East Central Community College in Decatur pinned 20 practical nursing students on Monday, July 31 in the Ovid S. Vickers Auditorium.

The ceremony included an invocation from Meissa Thomas of Enterprise who gave the invocation and welcoming remarks from David Case, ECCC’s Executive Vice President.
