FCA names Higginbotham as new statewide director

An area man has been promoted to lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in the state of Mississippi, the organization announced on Friday. Louisville native Kiel Higginbotham was appointed effective Sept. 1 after nine years of service within the FCA. Former State Director Bill Buckley had a glowing review of Higginbotham upon his promotion.

Wolverines continue to improve on gridiron

It’s no surprise to see what Ron Price and his staff is doing at East Webster for former head coach Doug Wilson. He lived it himself. Wilson was defensive coordinator for longtime coach James Carden and was a part of a team in 2010 that went 13-1 prior to him taking over the job as the head coach.
