Kelly named Noxapater head football coach

A familiar face has returned to Noxapater High School to lead the football program. Caleb Kelly is no stranger, having grown up in Winston County. He attended Louisville High School and graduated from Winston Academy in 2009.

Cleveland assumes reins of Noxapater girls hoops

Patsy Cleveland is no stranger to the game of basketball, having played at a high level at Decatur High School, then as a head coach on the junior high level, and as an assistant in high school. And now she brings her knowledge and skills to the hardwood at Noxapater High School to lead the Lady Tigers basketball team.

McDaniel set to lead WLCTC into the future

Shane McDaniel takes over as the fifth director of what was once referred to as the Vo- Tech Center, now known as the Winston-Louisville Career Technology Center. The center was established in 1971 and has allowed a multitude of high school students the opportunity to gain important skills that prepare them for the workforce.

Free Little Library open in Noxapater

The Tiger Tales Free Little Library in Noxapater is now open. The Free Little Library movement started almost 15 years ago when Todd Bol, of Hudson, Wisconsin, chose to honor his librarian mother by building a little library and giving away free books. In the ensuing years, hundreds of the little libraries have been erected worldwide.
