French Camp senior Bradley Edwards suffered a freak injury the second game of the season against Starkville Academy that continues to bother him, but it has not kept him off the field.

“I hit one of the backs and my face mask pushed backwards. My (ear) lobe ripped inside my helmet,” he said.

Lady Chargers advance in volleyball playoffs

Choctaw County advanced to the second round of the MHSAA Class I volleyball playoffs with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-20 victory over Senatobia. It might have been straight sets, but it was never easy.

The Lady Chargers had to rally to win the second set and withstood late rallies by Senatobia in the first and third sets.
