Roosters’ off to see the world at Maben Public Library

At the Maben Public Library there is a new display of roosters who recently escaped from out in the country and came to see the rest of the world in Maben.

Over the years longtime patron Dottie Dewberry of the Maben Library offered her brood of chickens to strut around the table tops and crow every morning about six o’clock.

Eupora girl takes on world competition

Sarah Grace Ware, a 10-year-old from Eupora, will take the national stage in Houston, Texas, the week of July 7-14 for the Our Little Miss World competition.

Sarah will compete in the 10-12 OLM Preteen division. She will compete in Interview, beauty dress, Causal Wear, talent and onstage question.

Eupora Crawfish Cook-Off deemed great success

The Eupora Crawfish Cook-Off event, organized by the Eupora Economic Development 501c3 organization, was a huge success over the weekend.

Saturday’s event drew hundreds of attendees from outside of the local area, as far away as Oregon, Texas, Ohio and Tennessee all eager to sample some of the best crawfish dishes in the region.
