Winston County Library to Host Paint Party Feb. 11

The Winston County Library is proud to announce an upcoming event that is sure to be colorful fun. On Saturday, February 11, the Library will host a paint party for ages 10 and up. Kizzie Townsend will host the party, and she promises it will be the ultimate paint party experience.

Author Anne Preus Introduces “Out of Texas” at Friends of Library Event

On Friday, January 20, the Winston County Friends of the Library welcomed Tallahatchie County native and local author Anne Preus as she introduced her book Out of Texas. Approached by her cousin with some research he’d completed, Ms. Preus co-authored the book one year ago. The book was finally published in August 2022.

Woodruff introduces new book at Friends of the Library Event

The Friends of the Library hosted Mrs. Frances Woodruff at the Winston County Library on Friday, January 6. The organization provided a delicious sack lunch for the first 24 attendees of the event. While those attending enjoyed the meal, Woodruff introduced her book: They Wore Gray: Confederate Soldiers of Winston County, MS.
