Mayor Youth Council Recognized at March 7 Aldermen Meeting

At the March 7 Louisville Board of Aldermen meeting, the Mayor’s Youth Council was recognized. One of the students, Maria Adams, a junior at Louisville High School, spoke to the board regarding attending the Mayor’s Youth Summit at Ole Miss. The Mayor’s Youth Council traveled to Oxford on February 24 – 25 to attend.

Eiland Middle School Hosts Black History Month Living Wax Museum

Students at Eiland Middle School honored African American heroes with the third consecutive Black History Month Living Wax Museum on Tuesday, February 28. Students unleashed their creativity, designing innovative reading boards featuring the stories of greats such as Whitney Houston, Rosa Parks, and Moses Fleetwood Walker.
