Parade of Lights comes to Louisville on December 9

The City of Louisville will host its annual Christmas parade a little later than normal for the 2024 season. This yearís parade will take place on December 9, 2024 at 6:00 PM. This yearís theme is the ìParade of Lightsî and everyone is encouraged to participate.

City announces holiday garbage pickup schedule

At the November 19 City of Louisville Board of Aldermen meeting, the city announced the upcoming holiday garbage pickup schedule. Routinely, the city picks up garbage on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week. During the week of Thanksgiving, garbage normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday, November 27.

Beautiful day for Triggertown Chili Cookoff

Saturday, November 16, was a beautiful day for the Triggertown Chili Cookoff and Talent Show in Noxapater. While the afternoon would see temps in the low 70s, there was just enough “nip” in the air to call for one of cooler weather’s comfort foods – chili.
