Opioids – they kill an average of 130 per day in the United States, according to The Health Resources and Services Administration. On Tuesday, Sheriff Mike Perkins told attendees at an opioid forum hosted by Reverend Anthony McIntosh at the MOBH building that opioids, particularly fentanyl, are a serious issue in Winston County.
