An opportunity was there for the taking for East Webster on the softball field this week.
In the final Class 3A, Region 4 contest of the year, EWHS traveled to Ackerman to take on rival Choctaw County with a district title available with a win. Tied at 3-3 in the seventh, however, the Lady Wolverines would see that slip away.
