Lady Wolverines and Lady Eagles fall in district play

It’s been a tough blow to the Webster County schools’ district championship chances in volleyball the last couple of weeks.

Both Eupora and East Webster were dealt difficult losses in district play over the last couple of weeks and face an uphill battle the rest of the way.

Wolverines regroup as they prepare for the Highway 15 Bowl tonight

For nearly 15 years, finding wins against Calhoun City have been a chore for East Webster.

The Wolverines ended a 12-game losing streak against the rival Wildcats back in 2021, but CCHS has regained its footing the last two years after the Wolverines were unable to take advantage win opportunities came.

It was a tough week on the volleyball circuit for the Webster County teams.

East Webster came into the week undefeated and looking to get the leg up on a race for the district championship. The Lady Eagles of Eupora were also trying to take top place in their own district, but neither were able to get wins out of it.
