Shields honored as Louisville parade grand marshal

The Annual Christmas Parade in Louisville is annually held on the first Monday of December. In keeping with that tradition, the parade will be Monday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Yuletide of Yesteryear: Christmas Through The Decades.”

Local school students explore Taylor Machine Works

In mid-November, seventh and eighth grade students in the Louisville Municipal School District toured Taylor Machine Works, which is marking its 95th anniversary. The students are specifically enrolled at Nanih Waiya Attendance Center, Noxapater Attendance Center, and Eiland Middle School.

New doctor joins Louisville Medical Clinic

Zeta Phi Beta assists Jackson during water crisis

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recently made several water distributions in Jackson to assist residents during the Capital City Water Crisis. During September, the state of Mississippi, under the leadership of Dr. Portia Ellis held a water distribution at the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
