Football
The Ole Miss Rebels played their spring game like no one else ever has. The Grove Bowl score tells you all you have to know about the game as the Red team edged the Navy team, 71-70, in flag football action. But the real story might have been the slam-dunk contest, maybe the tug-of-war or maybe even the hotdog eating contest with the 16-time Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating champion Joey Chestnut taking part in the day’s activities. Joey, just for fun, ate 20 hotdogs in 90 seconds to score points for the Navy team. On the field of play, Jaxson Dart, Walker Howard, A.J. Maddox and Austin Simmons all hurled TD passes in between all the fun and games.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs will have their spring game under new head coach Jeff Lebby this Saturday.
