After a come-from-behind win in Game 1, East Webster had the defending Class 2A champions on the ropes.
But the Urchins are defending champions for a reason.
East Union bounced back to take a 2-1 win in Game 2 and then took the series on Saturday with a 4-2 win on Saturday to advance to the Class 2A state championship series.
East Webster finishes the season with a 25-8 record while East Union improves to 28-6 on the year and will advance to take on Madison St. Joseph, who beat Perry Central 12-2 and 13-10

The Wolverines scored three runs in the top of the seventh to come back and beat the Urchins in Game 1 of the series on Thursday.
East Webster took the early lead with a single run in the top of the second as singles by Jon Austin Roberts and Sloan Hillhouse and a walk by Walker Johnson loaded the bases. Cameron Pilgrim singled to score Roberts for an early 1-0 lead.
East Union scored three runs in the bottom of the third, thanks to two hit batters and two hits.
The score stayed at 3-1 until the top of the seventh when J.T. Slay walked to lead off the inning. After two outs, the Wolverines loaded the bases with a single by Roberts and a walk by Johnson. Hillhouse then singled to center field to score Slay and Roberts. After a walk to Hastings Gibson, Cameron Pilgrim reached on an error on a bunt to score Johnson.
Gray McCarter pitched all seven innings for the Wolverines and gave up just four hits and two walks while striking out five.
The Wolverines had nine hits in the game as Hillhouse was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Roberts was 2-for-4 and scored two runs while Pilgrim was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Slay drew three walks while Johnson and Gibson each drew two walks.

In an old-fashioned pitcher’s dual, East Union’s Joel Wilkinson came out on top in a one-run victory on Friday to even the series in Game 2.
East Union took the lead in the second with a single run and another in the third to go up 2-0.
East Webster scored its only run in the top of the fifth as Wes Silver doubled to score Art Thompson.
The Wolverines had eight hits in the contest as Silver was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. J.T. Slay was 2-for-4 while Thompson singles and scored.
Walker Johnson got the start and pitched all seven innings, giving up two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out nine.

The Urchins scored three runs in the bottom of the first and held on for a two-run win on Saturday to clinch the series.
After a leadoff home run by East Union and a double off starter Art Thompson, East Webster went to Jon Austin Roberts. The Urchins added another run on an error to take a 3-0 lead.
East Webster scored a single run in the top of the third as J.T. Slay was hit by a pitch and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Dalton Perrigin to make the score 3-1.
The Wolverines cut the score to 3-2 with another run in the top of the fifth. Thompson reached on an error and advanced to second on a groundout by Wes Silver. Thompson scored on a single to right center by Perrigin.
East Union scored another run in the bottom of the fifth to go up 4-2 and held on for the win to take the series.
East Webster had six hits in the contest, led by Silver who was 2-for-4. Perrigin had a single and drove in two runs while Thompson singled and scored. Sloan Hillhouse and Walker Johnson also score
