With football season complete, Louisville is beginning to get its feet underneath them on the basketball court.
The Wildcats played their first two games of the season against Kemper County and came up just short in both instances. The first came the week before Thanksgiving as they lost a 73-66 affair and last Tuesday they played Kemper even closer but came up just short in a heartbreaking 88-86 loss.
The lessons learned in those two games, however, helped the Wildcats take the first win of the season on Thursday when they welcomed in McAdams. LHS took out its frustrations in a big way and dominated McAdams 88-46 to improve to 1-2 on the season and get the first win of the Kylan Tippett era. They hit the road on Friday and play a rivalry contest against Noxubee County who has begun the season with a 3-3 mark.
The girls squad swept Kemper County on the season as they won a 53-36 battle on Tuesday. They beat the other Lady Wildcats the prior ball game 64-40 for two dominating wins.
Thursday’s game against McAdams was not reported and head coach Fred Morris nor Tippett were able to be reached for comment. The LHS girls will also play Noxubee County on Friday and the Lady Tigers have yet to win a game this season.
